— PUBLICATIONThis project is a cohesive series redesign for Pulitzer Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead, unifying three of his most celebrated yet tonally distinct novels under one unified visual system. The overarching editorial design relies on dynamic geometric masking, bold color-blocking, and an experimental, fractured typographic grid that forces the reader to actively engage with the titles. By allowing each book's specific geography and pacing to dictate the shape language and archival photography, the final collection feels deeply connected while honoring the unique narrative of each story.
